What a fabulous idea! This fair trade, iron cardholder is just the thing for displaying your birthday, anniversary, and/ or postcards or any time you're on the receiving end of good wishes! It's also perfect as a kitchen companion for all those pesky bills or mouth-watering recipes. Great too for photos… the options are endless! Has 19 holders and each can hold up to two cards. This cardholder is handmade in a workshop in Moradabad, the heart of the Indian metal industry, where local employment conditions are generally very bad. A recent report estimated that in excess of 25,000 children were illegally employed in the city. This project pays the highest wages in the sector and provides life insurance, PPF, medical services and bonuses. Most of the workers have their own houses because funds are available for loans to build or renovate. Export sales fund a small evening school in a nearby village for 49 pupils who do not have access or the means to go to school. This product has been supplied by an importer who is a member of BAFTS and IFAT.
