I find it difficult to choose a foundation shade. How do I find one
that is right for me?
To find the right foundation for your skin colour, apply a thin line of colour
to your jaw line. To avoid a harsh line, compare the colour to the skin on your
face as well as your neck - your ideal shade will seem to disappear.
I have never used blush, how and where do I apply it?
The most flattering way to wear blush naturally is to apply it to the ‘apple’
of the cheeks, in the centre of your cheek, directly below your pupil. From
the apple, lightly blend outwards, towards the top of the ear, covering the
entire cheekbone area with soft, sweeping strokes. A clever trick is to apply
blush while you are smiling - add a little blush to the apples and sweep gently
along the cheekbone.

Frame sizes are usually in the format “50 - 20 – 140”. In this example this means that the lens diameter is 50mm the bridge distance is 20mm and the arm length is 140mm.
You can use this as a guideline by comparing them to your own glasses
HOWEVER, this is NOT the BEST way to obtain a good fitting frame. At spex4less I have added two further measurements that are FAR easier to understand and ensure a much better result.

Most common question asked is “Why can’t you buy varifocals online?”
First let me explain a little how Varifocals work.
I am sure you probably know this but Varifocals blend gradually from your Distance prescription Through your intermediate prescription into your Reading prescription.
This means that the exact point of the distance part of the lens needs to be set at the same height as your pupil (This needs to be millimetre perfect).
The way we would normally measure this in the practice is to place the frame on the patient and measure the distance between the patients pupil and the bottom rim of the new frame in millimetres.
