The Nokia 97 mini is for style-conscious, active social networkers everywhere. It delivers a truly personal mobile internet experience, starting with the premiere of Lifecasting with Ovi – the first ever widget that enables users to update their Facebook direct from the homescreen of their mobile.

Designed with the style-conscious and socially active in mind, the Nokia N97 mini is a compact variation on the iconic N97 device. It features a full QWERTY keyboard and tilting touch-screen – now with flick-scrolling for even better usability.

Top of the features is Lifecasting with Ovi, the result of a partnership between Nokia and Facebook that premieres on the Nokia N97 mini. It is the first application that lets people publish their status updates and location from their homescreen. Because it is so accessible and immersive, it will also be used for instant messaging and even navigating to meet a friend or find a meeting-place.

Users will also appreciate the fully customizable homescreen, which can be personalized with applications and widgets to suit the digital life you lead. The Ovi Store offers thousands of applications and services, from games or video entertainment to lifestyle and productivity tools. It is the easiest way to make this device your own.

The latest addition to the Nseries portfolio, the Nokia N97 mini is also a fully-featured and power-packed mobile computing and entertainment device with high spec camera, music and media capabilities.

The Nokia N97 mini is all about people expressing themselves whatever they do, whenever they choose, wherever they are – with richer content such as photos, videos and location information using social networking and sharing sites as well as calls, texts and emails.

Following in the footsteps of its bigger, older brother, the Nokia N97 mini was unveiled this morning at Nokia World 09. Sporting new homescreen widgets and a host of usability improvements, the N97 mini still packs 8GB of storage, a 3.2-inch touchscreen and full QWERTY keyboard into its 14.2mm thin frame. It’s also the first Nokia device to sport Lifecasting with Ovi – a new partnership with the world’s largest social network, Facebook. The N97 mini is based on the same tilt display design of its N97 big brother, built into a smaller body complete with new design touches.

Lifecasting enables users to update their Facebook status directly from the device’s homescreen. It doesn’t stop there though as location details can also be updated, enabling a whole new level of social sharing and communication. With the ability to completely customise the homescreen, users will be able to make their N97 mini truly unique.
